Neal & Harwell attorney Mozianio “Trey” S. Reliford III has been elected to the board of directors of the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee & the Cumberlands (LAS), where he will represent the Napier-Looby Bar Association. Legal Aid is Tennessee’s largest non-profit law firm whose mission is to advance, defend and enforce the legal rights of low income and vulnerable people in order to secure for them the basic necessities of life. Trey is an experienced entertainment law, securities litigation, commercial litigation, crisis management and complex white-collar and regulatory defense trial attorney. He has represented a broad range of international and national clients – from artists, producers and entertainers to financial advisors, executives, and major corporations – all in high-stakes, high-profile matters. He was recently named to the inaugural 2021 Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch list for his work in commercial litigation.
Trey has a strong commitment to pro bono service and was named a 2019 Tennessee Supreme Court Attorney for Justice. He also volunteers and serves in various leadership roles in numerous civic and professional organizations, including: Conexión Américas, Board of Directors; The 100 Black Men of Middle Tennessee, Member; Napier-Lobby Bar Association, Community Outreach Committee, Co-Chair; Tennessee Alliance for Black Lawyers’, Criminal Justice Reform Committee, Chair; and the Nashville Bar Association Young Lawyers Division, 2020 Race Judicata Committee, Co-Chair. Trey received his bachelor’s degree from Sewanee: the University of the South and his J.D. from Stanford Law School.
