Bill Ramsey Hosts Ode to Otha Street Party on June 7

Neal & Harwell attorney Bill Ramsey will host the Ode to Otha street party on Saturday, June 7 at 1711 Sweetbriar Avenue from 2:00-9:00pm. Ode to Otha is a family friendly event with activities for everyone to enjoy. From great music, tasty food and drinks to an interactive kids’ zone, you can bring the entire family along for the fun! Ode to Otha will feature music from artists Otha Turner Boys Fife & Drum, Stacy Mitchhart, Blue Mother Tupelo, Chip Greene, Juke Skywalker, Off the Wagon, plus special guests. All proceeds benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.

Ode to Otha celebrates Otha Turner’s lifetime of music and his legacy. The event was established on the understanding that food and music have the power to make a difference, so the tradition continues. This is an excellent way for the entire family to support a wonderful cause. The event is sponsored by Bill and Lisa Ramsey, Neal & Harwell, O’Neil Hagaman LLC, Martins Bar-B-Que, The Ridge, Yazoo, Brantley Sound and the Nashville Bar Association.

Since its inception, Ode to Otha has raised over half a million dollars for Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee. We invite you to help us continue to make a difference in the lives of those who are experiencing food insecurity. Admission is $40 or 2 for $75 – in honor of Bill Ramsey’s 75th Birthday. Kids 12 and under FREE. Admission is all-inclusive – music, food, drinks, and family fun!

Cost of admission and additional online donations can be made directly to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee at: https://bit.ly/43eTOd9

About Ode to Otha

Each year, Neal & Harwell attorney, Bill Ramsey, hosts a birthday bash honoring Otha Turner and his music. Otha Turner started playing the fife and drums at local picnic parties at a young age and became the leader of the Rising Star Fife and Drum Corps. He used the money he would make to purchase a farm where he and his family lived. Although Otha is no longer with us, his spirit and music live on through his family members, who continue the centuries-old fife and drum tradition. All proceeds from the event benefit Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.  For additional information, visit www.othaturner.com.
