Liz Tipping is a Member of Neal & Harwell and has more than 20 years of experience handling civil, commercial and criminal matters, with a primary focus on construction law. Throughout her career, Liz has successfully represented clients in both jury and non-jury trials in state and federal courts, and she has advocated for her clients all the way to the Supreme Court of the United States. Liz is licensed to practice law in Tennessee, Kentucky and West Virginia.

Liz joined Neal & Harwell in 2003 after graduating in the top ten percent of her class from Vanderbilt University Law School. In 2018, Liz was offered an opportunity to launch the Nashville branch of a regional law firm focused on providing legal services to construction companies. Liz then built a thriving solo practice dedicated to supporting construction companies and small businesses before returning to Neal & Harwell in 2023 to lead the firm’s construction law team. Liz’s passion for serving those working in the construction industry coupled with her decades of litigation experience allow her to help clients in all aspects of their businesses, so that her clients can have peace of mind that their interests are being protected.

Liz is an active member of the Tennessee Association of Construction Counsel, National Women in Roofing and the Lawyers’ Association for Women. She is also a past honoree of Nashville Business Journal “40 Under 40.” She is also a member of the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), and partnered with #1 NYT best-selling author Sharon Cameron to establish the SCBWI MidSouth’s mentorship program in 2019.
