After a two week jury trial in the Western District of Tennessee, N&H attorneys Scott Ross and Isaac Sanders, along with their co-counsel at DLA Piper, secured a defense verdict and win for Hankook Tire. Plaintiffs blamed the 2013 rollover crash of a concrete mixer on alleged defects in Hankook’s truck tire. The two week jury trial was held in Jackson, Tennessee before Chief District Judge S. Thomas Anderson. The case decided many new issues under Tennessee’s recent tort reform statute. Ultimately, the jury rejected plaintiffs’ product liability and negligence theories, finding for Hankook Tire on all claims.
